Waiting on Gods Time

Good morning!! Im back at it again with the highlights from the week and I hope yall enjoy!

Oh also my title choice is how I've felt all week lol.

Literally forgot to journal but nothing special happened that day😅

Pasta press!
We had dinner with all the sisters in our zone! The ysa sisters picked us up and we went to a member owned restaurant called Pasta Press. It was lowkey so goodddd. I got pasta with some kind of meat sauce but there was also this super good pasta dish that had pesto and I would definitely go again! Oh also it was free since we are missionaries👍

Had private interviews
Sister Churchill and I wanted some final guidance before the transfer was over so we scheduled private interviews (30 minute sit down conversations with the mission president). When we got there at 8pm, there were 4 other guys there who were waiting for walking interviews? They said it was for 8pm but we had our private interviews from 8pm-9pm. We waited for 30 minutes after 8pm and we all found out that President double booked us so he rescheduled those elders for monday.

While sister Churchill was talking to President, those elders stayed because they were talking with President Clawson's former mission companions!! I also ended up sitting down with all of them to listen and I loved it so much. It was so cool to see how highly they talked of President Clawson and the stories they were able to share! They talked about how President inspired them to be better missionaries by leading by example and when Presidents companions had dreams, he went out and helped them make it happen! Sister Clawson also affirmed that President Clawson doesn't let dreams stay dreams and I think thats so cool. Someone has to be functioning at a whole other level to accomplish their dreams. It inspired me to make sure I don't let my own dreams stay dreams and help anyone I can make their dreams happen!

During my private interview though, President noted that I've become a lot more teachable. I thought i was plenty teachable, or at least open minded, before my mission; but when I said that, he literally laughed at me in unbelief💀 Ill take the compliment but that was just funny to me.

After my interview, it was 9:30pm⚰️ My poor STLs drove us home very happily and im so grateful for their willingness to help us. I think they probably got home a little after 10pm.

Pearl street
President gave us the idea to go to pearl street last night at walking interviews (so sister churchill could use her talents in our finding efforts) and we did just that! We had our comp study at an overpriced tea shop (WE GOT HERBAL TEA CHILL), then sister Churchill played the commission and random pretty chords on the guitar while I basically walked around her and invited people to the Easter music devotional on Sunday. It was fun! We got 3 phone numbers and handed out a lot of flyers.

Dinner with ysa sisters
After an hour long bus ride, we got home for dinner and had it with the YSA sisters in our zone again! Ive enjoyed hanging out with them. But yea we had tuna casserole😂 We somehow had all the right ingredients to make it. The ysa sisters also brought salad and cake for us to shareee

President please send transfer news
It's eating me alive yall. I hate waiting for transfer news😭 It makes me so anxious that when I start thinking about it, I start feeling sick. So Im trying not to dwell on it but its so hard not too😭

Manna from heaven
I forgot to pack a lunch today and forgot that the senior missionaries weren't at the mission office today since Saturdays are their pdays. So, when I was expecting to have free Ramen that they just have in stock for missionaries, I was met with a dark room and a locked door. To my pure luck though, my mom sent me a package for St. Patrick's day! It contained chocolate coins, shortbread, and Irish pins for mine and sister churchills purses. What luck🍀! So we had a few chocolate coins and shortbread for lunch🤷‍♀️ Was it good for me? Absolutely not. But it held me over until dinner time.

Im done w this area
Im lowkey having a hard time being motivated rn. We have had plenty of dots throughout the transfer but now we have 0 dots, and cant seem to find any that belong to us. I oddly am amazing at finding dots for other people though😅 I have sent probably 15 green and yellow dots to other companionships in the mission (and other missions!) within the past week. Im trying to be happy that im able to find people but its just a bummer I cant personally teach people and help them progress closer to Jesus Christ.

Split
Bruhhhh I was expecting chisme from sister lemus and she gave me nothing😒 But hey! We picked up a Spanish NPT for her area! So that was nice

Dinner
We had dinner at the mall and I had my first real meal of the day there in the form of chicken tenders and fries. It was so goodddd

Treats 4 members
We still dont have transfer news at this point but sister Churchill had the idea to make some kind of treat for all the members that helped us throughout the transfer🥰 Currently, im writing this at 11pm because its taking a long time to make these treats so the members better appreciate it lol.

NOTHING ELSE MATTERS I GOT TRANSFER NEWS OMG
IM GOING TO THE BROOMFIELD 3RD AREA WITH SISTER SAMUEL AND IM IN A CAR🚗🙏

Yall im so happy about the car😭 Im honestly sad that i won't be with sister Churchill tho! Shes so cool and musical and talented in all things. But I am also super happy that she gets the experience of a new companion and a new area! SHES ALSO GOING SPANISH!? Im so happy she gets that too! And her companion is sister Fowles who was my STL last transfer in Parker South! I think they will be a very good fit for each other.

I've also got somewhat mixed feelings about the Broomfield 3rd ward. Im happy that I get an area that hasn't been tracted much because previously, (thats one of the areas where the unmotivated missionaries previously have gone) but also there's only one parking lot to do public contacting☹️ Im hopeful though! I think this will be not too new and give me more of an opportunity to grow.

I'm also looking forward to my companion and the STLs I'll have! I came out with sister Samuel and her last companion for two transfers has been sister Kooteti who i was quaded with my first transfer so I think sister Samuel and I will be able to laugh a lot this transfer. Sister Samuel also is from the Marshal islands and cant drive in America so I get driving privileges by default😛

Im so hype for my STLs too!!! Sister Na’a is coming to Boulder ysa and she will be with sister Martell! Sister Martell is sister Churchills MTC comp and I think she's a hoot😁 We might be making a lot of dirty jokes to one another though so I'll have to work on that.

The crazy part of transfers news though, is how it was released😱 So all the missionaries were at the Easter music devotional and we all stayed after our friends and members left so the missionaries could just chat. At around 9:30pm I think, President dropped transfer news with all of us there😭 I started having like a mini panic attack or something cuz that was so overwhelming to me. I noticed everyone on their phones and them they all got really loud so it was just a lot lol. At first, I freaked out over the thought of a new companion but I talked to her a little bit before we left and it honestly made me feel so much calmer. Im just super anxious when it comes to change, but I think this upcoming transfer can be awesome.

Some other things that happened is that I went to my first ward council this morning! It was missionary focused so we were invited to participate. Lowkey we didn't participate but I enjoyed just sitting in to see what it was like! I appreciate just how organized the church is. How organized Heavenly Father is. He has us organize ourselves so no one gets lost. Every sheep is accounted for. I just think its so cool.

After church too, we handed out peanut butter bars! We didn't know if we were getting transferred but we wanted to express our gratitude to the ward for helping us out so much. Sister Churchill made them the night prior too so she didnt have to get up super early. And I contributed by making a little sign explaining what it was and our gratitude😁

But yea that was a nerve wracking day😭
Im so happy I finally know my transfer news but I also have a hard time with change lol so now im nervous for the actual transfer and not just news about it😅

Lol we stayed up till midnight and im writing this at 12:30am. But cool thing happened! Sister Churchill wrote another song and this time its for sister fawson! She tried to make it kinda sound like a Taylor swift song and I sang the melody while she did the harmony and played her guitar. I think we are going to send the song to sister fawson later today when we all have Canes as a zone. I kept laughing so much though because I think the lyrics she wrote for sister fawson are so funny!

Okay, I'm back! It's 9:50am and right now we are chilling in the apartment till the ysa sisters pick us up to go to Canes.

Today will be a slow day though with packing and whatnot I think.

Okayyyyy take care yall! I hope you all enjoy spring break and tell me about all the fun things yall are up to😁

Love ya,
Sister Moghimi
