Im going to be a teen mom!

Hey yalllll, long time no see! Per the usual, here's major events from my week that are worthy to write about lol.


January 31, 26
We had our walking interviews 
I had my first walking interview with other ppl! It was cool! We were with Hermanas Lindsey and Rojas. They are sweet! I was warned by hermana Lindsey tho that the third transfer is the hardest. I doubt that though because its all about mindset. I know it will all workout and be for my gain so idk why I would be worried.

While on my walking interview, I tried to see if president would tell me anything about the upcoming transfer. I asked how I can prepare myself and he is a lawyer so hes really good about talking but not giving an actual answer if he doesnt want to. So I thought my question was answered and on the way back home I was like “wait a minute, I just wasted that time!”. Ive felt like that for every walking interviews I've had so far, but im hoping it will get better.

But yea that did not go the way I wanted it to.

We also went to 2 baptisms today
One for a members kid who turned 8. We went because the mom is less active and the wml wanted us to go to build a bit of a relationship with her.

Then we went to Val and Anne's baptism! 
Val has been investigating the church for 7 year!! Anne's is his wife's sister, shes in town and will be for the next few months because Val wife has medical problems. For some reluctant reason, they decided to be baptized last night and it was done today! So crazy!!

After dinner, we stopped by circle k to break a $100 and then we went to the Larsens house because sister Larsen agreed to get a nativity scene for sister finch!! The best part too is that she got us turquoise jewelry! I got silver which was a little disappointing bit it was a 1/10 on the disappointing scale so not really disappointing at all lol.
Sister Larsen is so nice though! She is such a mom and clearly loves taking care of people. She has such genuine interest in us and genuinely appreciates us! I'm sure she was the best mom and will make an amazing grandmother!

I'll be in the Broomfield first ward too, right by President Clawson…
Idk how we will get ppl to teach or whatever but yk its gonna work out!

Heyyy im backkk
First I thought id explain a tad bit more what I meant with the title of my post lol
In the mission field, the missionary who trains you and shows you how to do everything in the mission is nicknamed your “mom” or “dad” if you're an elder. So Sister Graham was my mom and sister Finch is my stepmom lol. This means *I* will be a mom, sister graham becomes a grandma, and her trainer becomes a great grandmother! I apologize if this sounds confusing but im excited! I don't know what went through President Clawsons brain on why he decided to give me this opportunity but I dont plan on wasting it! I keep feeling like I have so much to learn first but maybe this will help me do that🤷‍♀️ Anywho, stay posted for next weeks email because it might be crazy lol

Back to our weekly scheduled programming

Today was lowkey long
We didnt get anyone to church
And I was fasting so I was tired and hungry all day till 1:30pm
Then we did pstudy
And then we were going to go finding but sister finch and I accidentally took a lot of time counciling together on how I can be a better trainer.

So then we went to dinner with the Norris’ and Brother Parmley!
Ive been waiting to meet brother Parmley because hes a convert and was baptized 3 years ago! Hes very educated so I was wondering what made him convert basically.
In short, he told us sister missionaries got a referral from his cousin to stop by his house but the cousin specifically mentioned to not mention her name when they stop by. 
They stopped by his house and he was going to close the door but they mentioned her name and it peaked his interest!
He started reading the book of mormon, went through many sets of missionaries and got frustrated because he wanted to discuss what he was reading in the book of mormon and not the 3 preset lessons missionaries typically have to teach. At some point, the bishop of his eventual ward got ahold of him and gave him general conference tickets before he was baptized. He went a little after covid so he was in the conference center with nearly no one inside while the prophet is speaking. He asked himself what he was doing there bcuz hes not a member and he doesnt belive in prophets! Suddenly, on the jumbotron, it says “this is where you are supposed to be” and it hit him that God sent that message for him specifically! Then he eventually got baptized. I just think thats such a cool story! And I love hearing stories about super educated people converting (he has two doctorates, a masters, and a bachelor's) because the gospel makes logical sense too along with having faith!

After dinner, we ended up just doing the newsletter and sister finch did a lil shopping then started writing sweep notes. It was quite productive!

And then when we got home sister finch gave me more tips on how to do things on bike and about training.

And I still dont know where im going to get a bike from

But anywhooo
Since we are transferring, sister finch and I are going to go to the boujie goodwill, buy a bag for me to use while on bike, and pack as much as we can before zone pday.

During zone pday too, i plan on finishing the missions monthly newsletter because I have had like 0 time for it😬

Then we will have dinner with the Dunfords, and go proselyting till 8:50pm when its time to go home.

So I said last time this one would be shorter but it's not. I appreciate your patience and I hope you enjoy my thoughts. I waited to submit my papers to be a missionary for about a year, I waited over a week to get my call, I waited 4 months to get set apart as a missionary, I waited a week to enter the mtc in person, I waited 2 weeks to finish the mtc, I waited another 3 hours at the airport for my flight, now im waiting till tomorrow to see who my trainer is. My Farewell talk

I wanted to let anyone who didn't have the opportunity to hear my Farewell talk be able to read it if they wish, so here it is!  My 9th grade biology teacher told my class that he taught us the same concept three times and in different ways so it would be etched into our brains a little deeper each time. Today, I would like to share the three main ways my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ was etched into my brain in three main points.  I’ve had experiences where I’ve felt the Holy Ghost and had positive experiences serving and sharing the gospel but what was a real catalyst to my testimony today was when I had to talk to bishop about some of my previous sins. Longest Email Ever😵‍💫

Haha sorry for not writing last week. I've got a lot to catch up on, so go microwave some popcorn before reading this.  I read it all in my own words tho!!! The word count of my post is nearly 6,000 words so I decided to speak it all for yall so you can multi task because for me, I love listening to podcasts while doing things!
