I will have killer legs at the end of this transfer

Good morning all of yall! I fear these emails might be getting shorter possibly because im so tired all the time right now lol but we will see. I hope yall enjoy hearing about the events in Broomfield!

I started off the transfer so horribly on accident lol
Sister finch and I had to leave by 6:45am to get to the mission office at 7:45pm but we ended up leaving at 7:20am💀 And there was a giant amount of traffic so we got there at 9am😭😭😭 I was trying my best to be stoic but man was it hard!

Once we got to the parking lot, I bolted into the doors and quietly but very quickly got to where the rest of the trainers are. I missed part of Presidents training which was such a bummer but its probly fine at this point. (Writing this part on 2/9/26 btw)

Once we got to the actual draft part, where the trainees and trainers are put together, I was so nervous! I had to use the restroom so bad because of it lol.

But the time finally came and my new companion is sister Churchill!

Lemme give yall some fun facts about her:
-  Oldest of 2 younger brothers
-  Her brothers are 17 and 14 both born in August like my family!
-  From Idaho Falls
-  Born in Denver, CO and lived here till she was 10
-  Had a job sampling potatoes for Green Giant
-  Can play piano and guitar
-  Super smart in like all practical aspects

Oh also at the draft we ended up matching! She wore an orange sweater and I had my orange dress on!

After the draft, we got her stuff and had to load it into our ZLs (Zone Leaders) car because we dont have a car☺️ We are on bikes🥲 And we didnt even have them that day

So we get to the apartment, unload our stuff and unpack while our area book syncs so we can get to work.

The worst thing happens though😂 We live a 15 minute bike ride outside of our area, and our area book is wiped because it used to be double covered. So we received no sweep notes, 0 planning from previous missionaries, and theres nothing previous missionaries added on the map.

So all we did Wednesday was settle in, then knock doors in the area next to us.

By the end of the day though, our STLs delivered bikes to us but without helmets so we couldn't use them yet lol.

Oof this was a very hard day

We did walking interviews and it was chill
Then we went to the mission office to get helmets

We got ready, finished personal study, had lunch, biked to comp study, got bike locks, had dinner, then started biking to our lesson 40 minutes away according to Google maps.

Turns out, google maps uses trails along with sidewalks. So when we get to the trail, we see its SO steep and we turn back because of it😭 Also it was pitch black and we forgot to buy headlights and tail lights
We ended up asking our STLs to help us get to king soopers. Thankfully they came.

After driving us, we walked around and picked up 1 person!

Then it was a 15 minute bike ride home

I asked to call President earlier and we were able to do so after pros time. I explained how I was feeling with biking and whatnot and he listened but did not change his mind on the bikes. I think he put me in this area on purpose to help me learn some kind of lesson. Its super annoying, but I won't let this time go to waste. Anyways, we ended up saying a prayer together on this call and I felt a little better. I still dont like being on a bike but its getting better.

We got headlights and tail lights for our bikes and also new bike seats. I didnt know it then, but the walmart closest to us is out of our zone😭 So we were disobedient on accident. But it won't happen again!

Anywho, we got the lights on our bikes and realized we didnt have proper tools for the seats so we biked to the mission office where they had the proper sized wrenches and whatnot and sister Churchill took care of the whole thing! I think she's so awesome. She is really good at just using her brain to its fullest capacity if that makes any sense. She told me after she replaced the bike seats and she was faking it till she made it and I thought she was joking for a hot minute, but no! She's just really good at problem solving.

Oh also on our bike ride to the mission office we met a really nice exmo! I complimented him on his sweater and he was surprised I knew the band and we started talking! I told him I was from Orlando, Florida and he thought that was really funny because in the Book of Mormon musical, the main character really hopes he goes to Orlando on his mission. But yea he told us about his mission in Argentina and that he's in the Broomfield 3rd ward (not our ward)! He told us he knows the bishop's wife who is Argentinian and he lost her phone number so I really want to make sure they get in contact so he can have contact with the church still!

After fixing our bikes, having lunch and comp study, we stopped by sister Rugg whos a sweet 80+ yr old who used to be a senior missionary in the office. We stopped by because Sister Clawson asked us to bring her chocolates and some tape she left at their house. It was a nice experience and we were able to get a photo to send to sister clawson!

We had DC, which was chill

We knocked houses on our way to our member dinner, then we had a split with them!

I went with sister fawson and we picked up one yellow dot while sister Churchill and sister Lemus picked up 3 green dots!! So cool!!

We had a super long daily planning for some reason but it's because we haven't planned our days yet.

So we had to rush to get ready and then we had a breakfast at the stake presidents house!
It was chill

The STLs dropped us off so we could do pstudy then we biked to the library to do comp study. On our way out of the apartment though, we met a Hispanic couple who wants to come to church! We got their number and sent it to the STLs at the end of the day. Hopefully they text him tomorrow

After our comp study, the STLs met us at the library to do another split! This time I was with sister Lemus in her area. We drove to king soopers, talked to 45 people, drove to the lafayette apartments and set up a lesson for tonight, went to walmart to talk to 35 people, and then went back to the apartments to pick up sister Churchill and Fawson. We also did a tiny prank and moved their bikes to the flagpole.

On the flip side, sister fawson and Churchill were waiting for the bus but it never came! SO THEY BIKED THEIR WAY TO THE APARTMENTS (over an hour long bike ride btw)😭 I literally could never and im so glad I didnt have to.

But yea then the STLs drive us to our dinner which was nice

After our dinner, we knocked around their neighborhood until it was time for a phone lesson. My idea was lowkey just to stand around and have this lesson but sister churchhill had to good idea to go to a park or something so thats what we did.

Shes actually a genius because our lesson was TWO HOURS LONG
We missed the bus and had to bike home but it really was fine! We taught him lesson 3 and ALMOST extended a baptismal invitation to him. We set up a time to meet though at the church building at 6:30pm so hopefully we can do it then.

Once that was done, we biked home and had a zone call

Heyyy
Today has been a good day!
Our STLs helped us knock on our friends doors b4 church and it was cool!

Our members are also literally so awesome too
We had an mcm (missionary correlation meeting, meeting with members from the ward to update them about our friends and how the ward can help us and them) after church and they filled us in on our friends because we didn't receive sweep notes and they also told us how much they want to help us!
It sounds like they office elders typically aren't that motivated so this area has a lot of potential! They also told us that they are happy to drive us to places, and they want members on lessons just as much as we do!! They also said that they are happy to have members knock on our friends’ doors before church so we can have our mcm before church

Broomfield is so cool so far, I love it!

The members also nearly filled up the whole meal calender for February and we already have some dinners set up for march!😵

Sister Churchill is also so awesome
After pros time, she helped me clean my water bottle straw by feeding my basket ball shorts’ drawstring through it to clean it😂 I love how creative she is to solve problems

And we also only biked 6 miles today! The most we've biked in a day so far btw is 12 miles

Also sister churchill seems pretty passionate about eating healthy so we agreed to put our money together so we can buy groceries together and makes our meals together too! She has a list of basic foods that can be turned into a lot of things which I think is cool! She told me she doesnt use recipes but shes good at whipping things together that are healthy and taste good even thought they might not look the best.
I dont care! I think its awesome!!

Besides the biking, this transfer is honestly going to be awesome it seems. I like the area, I love the members, and I love sister Churchill!

Stay tuned for next week!

Hugs and thugs,
Sister Moghimi
